LEVEL 1 (A1)

Level 1 is suitable for those who have never learned English, as well as those who have learned it, but have forgotten it over time and need to remember the basics of the language to speak English with confidence. The problem of inhibition in speaking English affects a large part of adults. In these two cases the Level 1 course is ideal! Reviewing the basics, starting from the beginning will make you gain the confidence you need to speak English!

Course contents:

Module 1 | daily routine

Know the alphabet and sounds of the English language, introduce yourself and others, ask for and give information, describe people and places, interact on subjects of your daily life in simple sentences.

Module 2 | hobbies

Knowing the names of foods and drinks, knowing how to read a menu, shopping at the supermarket, ordering in cafes and restaurants, talking about leisure activities such as travel, cinema, sport or festive occasions.

Module 3 | health

Making a physical description of yourself and the other, interacting about health care and common illnesses, making an appointment or asking for clarification, knowing the name of different shops and businesses, talking on the phone, giving and following directions, formulating invitations.

LEVEL 2 (A2)

Level 2 is suitable for those who already have solid knowledge of the basics of the English language but need to reinforce this knowledge in order to be able to interact in English more easily, practicing by simulating everyday situations.

Course contents:

Module 1 | The world of work

Know the vocabulary related to various professions, know how to describe your routine in your profession in the past and present, participate in a job interview, briefly tell your life story, understand how to prepare a CV and a presentation email.

Module 2 | The Past

Knowing the most used vocabulary in the physical and personality description of a person, telling stories and life habits in the past and present, discussing ideas about different cultures.

Module 3 | The present

Interact on different day-to-day issues, current affairs, citizenship and the culture of each country and region.

LEVEL 3 (B1)

Level 3 is aimed at anyone who needs to activate and deepen their prior knowledge of the Portuguese language, above all to interact fluently, expressing their point of view, making comparisons, debating ideas on current issues.

Course contents:

Module 1 | Lifestyles

Know how to make a complete description of someone (physical, psychological characteristics, profession, life habits, style of dress), talk about family life, report a trip taken and future projects.

Module 2 | Citizenship

Talking and arguing about environmental problems, presenting great figures and events in History, debating ideas about social problems, such as the consumerist society.

Module 3 | living in society

Talking about favorite hobbies in detail, describing a trip, debating ideas on current affairs, the rights and duties of citizens, expressing an opinion, desire, probability, purpose, suggestion.

At the end of the course, all trainees will receive their respective certificates, whether for completion or attendance of the course. Successful trainees will receive two certificates:

- Certificate of Completion of the course, with information about modules, contents and training hours;

- Professional Training Certificate issued through the SIGO platform (Information and Management System for Educational and Training Offers) as provided for in Ordinance No. 474/2010, of 8 July.
